The State Tax Service of Azerbaijan has disclosed the names of the top 100 taxpayers (excluding budgetary organizations) in 2024 who consented to the publication of this information.
"Azərlotereya" JSC, a simplified tax payer, ranked 14th in the list with 92.4 million manats paid in taxes last year. The company is also ranked 6th among the top taxpayers in the non-oil sector.
In early 2021, by decree of the President of Azerbaijan, the management of "Azərlotereya" JSC was transferred to Turkey’s “Demirören Holding”. Since then, as the country's legal lottery organizer and sports betting operator, the company has made valuable contributions to the national economy through its successful operations, signing off on meaningful projects and creating new job opportunities.
The volume of taxes paid annually by "Azərlotereya" has shown significant growth.
In addition to taxes and other payments to the state budget, "Azərlotereya" allocates resources from its own revenue to important Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in areas such as sports, education, environment, and innovation. The company’s mission, vision, and values are closely aligned with its CSR policy, which aims to further expand initiatives in these fields.
One of the company’s key CSR initiatives is the "Loyalty to the Legacy" project, which supports the education of family members of fallen soldiers. The project covers tuition and living expenses for those studying at public universities in Turkey, as well as living costs for those studying at higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. Currently, the project supports 150 beneficiaries.
Through its collaboration with the Karabakh Revival Fund, "Azərlotereya" launched the "Everything for Karabakh" initiative. Under this project, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of lottery tickets has been donated to the reconstruction of Karabakh. Additionally, the company supported the purchase of specially trained dogs for demining operations in the liberated territories and delivered them to ANAMA.
